How to transition from Math undergrad to CS grad?

I did my undergrad in applied math (did some stats and numerical ysis in MATLAB and R), and am choosing between grad schools right now. I have been accepted to some statistics and CS programs. I really like the research going on at the CS program (for computer vision), and the theory shouldn't be too bad, but I'm worried that the actual programming might be too intense. Would I be able to cram the programming skills within the next few months before school starts in the fall, or should I just play it safe and do statistics instead?
