My iguana wont eat and has sores on his tail?

Its been like this for awhile. He wont eat I try forcing but he spits it out. He has sores all along his tail. He just lays there. He hasnt gone to the bathroom. I dont have money for a vet. Is there something I can do or a way to put him out of suffering?
