What are some alternative phrases or words instead of using swear words?

Watch old westerns on t.v. and choose a few of the words they used. Festus and Doc on Gunsmoke and Hoss on Bonanza had what were considered colorful vocabularies for the times. My grandfather talked like they did and it was amusing and a lot less offensive than the words we use today. The comical effect of speaking like an old timer could be a good stress reliever as well.........
