Fixing slime algea in a marine aquarium?

if you are showing any no2 the cyano is the least of you problems, cyanobacteria (red slime but it comes in many colors) feeds mostly on no3 and po4, once you get the no2 in check then you can see about running some GFO on your system to clear up the algae bloom
