Female-Female , is rare?

my friend today was telling me about the rarity of a female raping another female weather it be adult raping a child or another adult. he told me its because the women who are victimized mostly keep it to them selves. some one who knows more about this please explain why you never hear such from the media, and if this does happen wheres the justifications for these women who were d by the same gender
