Why are religious women so ashamed of their bodies?

So many religions are so stuffy when it comes to a woman's attire. Why is that? Are people really that ually repressed? For that matter, what's wrong with being y, sensual, alluring and beautiful? Is it supposed to be a woman's fault if a man can't control himself? Why is it the woman's fault?
