Am I a bad mother? Is it too late to stop before cavaties develop?

My son has sensory integration disorder and some oral sensitivies in his mouth. He often times will chew on a chewy (it looks like a phone cord) for oral stimulation. This keeps him from biting. My son is severely Autistic, as everybody already knows. Sometimes I"ve been known to give him "dum dums", those small lollipops, when we go somewhere for a while. He really likes those. But I"m concerned because I already have a hard time brushing his teeth. I have to place my fingers in the very back of his mouth to open his mouth, while holding my legs on his arms, and then proceed to brush as fast as I can. This is very painful to my son trying to brush his teeth. And he will fight me tooth and nail, as he is very, very strong for a 3-year-old. Should I stop giving him these lollipops cold turkey, because he really really likes them, and I'm afraid that he will develop cavaties, if I don't stop. He will eat between 1-3 of them in a day. I usually only brush his teeth once a day, just because of the torture factor that he goes through with this process. I don't even want to think about trying to brush them at night when he's in a calm mood. I know I may sound stupid, but these are common problems among children with Autism having oral sensory needs. So am I a bad mother for allowing this and do you think he will develop cavities eating these, or should I just stop buying them, and if I stop now, he will be fine? He hasn't been into the lollipops for long, maybe about a month or so.

We are always going to run into people who are better, or more adept, at accomplishing certain things, more so than we are. I am hearing that you are concerned with things that are outside of you, things people have, appearances, status and authority, etc. Are you not content with your accomplishments, your strengths and abilities? If not, why? We should be focusing on what we can do and be content with that and be willing to try and master new things. I am concerned with your question in regards to your possible dissatisfaction. Think about how you were raised, what did people tell you, were they content with your abilities? If not, if you did not have someone there to mirror your accomplishments and abilities, then we can become chronically unfulfilled and lack a level of satisfaction in our goal directed behavior. Convincing yourself that you are superior to others is not the answer, convincing yourself and believing that you can accomplish goals and objectives for yourself is. We all need to have a healthy level of narcissism, or self love. If our abilities, our mastery, our confidence in ourselves was not mirrored or recognized by those we care about, then in can become a problem, hence, feeling we should be better than everyone else for that recognition we did not receive. We will be constantly seeking that "mirror", those people to see that we have done something well and be validated for it, the problem is that we are not getting it from those people we want it from, which leads to feeling empty and frustrated. SO, my question is, why is it that during all of what came after, with the bathtub scene and whatnot, why did the police never show up at the house? that never made sense to me. he gave his name and said madison frank's name, gave their address, etc.. so why was it not followed up on that he knew something about this case? and why did no one come to the house during the struggle between him & claire?

3 week old wont sleep?

My 3 week old just wont sleep... doctor said she has colic.. she goes through the whole crying in pain thing for hours but she gets to a point where we know she is not in pain.. she is happy she just wont sleep.. she stays awake for up to 16 hours!! we try everything, baths, feeds, cuddles, rocking in her bouncer, walking with her, all different positions, not holding her, having her in the dark, everything we can think of. Last night i let her cry for about 30 mins (giving her the dummy if she worked herself up too much) and that seemed to tire her out a bit she went to sleep after 8 hours last night (not of crying, it was about 20 mins after her crying) but so often she is up for at least 12 hours.. she is so tired but just keeps fighting being awake.. she sometimes falls asleep but as soon as we put her down she is wide awake and we start all over.. we are just so tired now and surely it is not healthy for her to be awake so long.. she is feeding great.. we been given infacol and that seems to be great for her colic and she is giving great burps and does not seem like she is in the pain she was last week... she is no longer comfort feeding either.. we have had some success but we need her to get some sleep... has anyone else had this problem?? if so what worked for you?? does anyone recommend letting her cry at this age?? yes im a first time mum don't know what we should and should not do.

I went to my doctors for over a year about this and next week I finally have an app for an endoscopy and they are also suggesing a colonoscopy. I am going for these test because I think diffrent medication is causing this. I am not heavy in weight but loosing about 40 lbs has helped. What would cause pain in my hands at night?

i wake up like clockwork nightly. After 2 hrs of sleep I will wake with tingling in both hands. sleep will come again then an hour or two later wake with burning pain. My hands are stiff. I can not open or close them. To attempt to move them at all causes sever pain. As if the hand is broken. I have found no otc medication that will help the tingling,burning but also numbness pain. The only thing that does seem to help is to get out of bed. and try to move them to get flexibility back. the pain is to the point that I just cry. Three to four nights a wk I sleep only two to three hrs.

A few questions about my car stereo?

I have a 2000 celica gt with a jensen flip out headunit. 2 12" alpine type r's with an infinity 1300 watt amp. I also have 4 Jl audio 6.5's, and 2 stock tweeters all hooked up to an alpine mrp 160 watt amp. First off I would like to know why my speakers (not subs) start to crackle and sound like static whenever I play my system for more than 15 minutes fairly loud. I believe this is distortion but I'm not exactly sure. My car rattles like a ***** from the inside out, but the most prominent rattling comes from the rear view mirror, which I can't figure out how to get off. I would like a solution to stop the rattling of the mirror and also an explanation why my speakers begin to crackle even though they are top of the line speakers hooked up to a real nice amp. i just don't understand. thanks.

Oh dear. When you have a large chest you cannot buy just any dress you like. Unfortunately you've learned this the hard way. When girls with big chests shop for clothes, they ALWAYS have to keep their undergarments in mind. Some cuts of clothes you will never be able to wear because there simply is no bra that will accommodate you and also go with the cut of the clothing. Does this dress have thick straps or spaghetti straps (you shouldn't be in spaghetti straps anyway with a DD, no support and no hidding a bra strap). Unfortunately adhesive bras will not work for you. Your are large and too heavy and you will get no support or lift from them. Your best option might be a strapless corset. Bring your dress to a bra fitter (like at Macys) and see what they have to say/offer as a solution. Good luck.

Please HELP! My belly is super firm today! What does this mean?

I am 39 1/2 weeks pregnant. Through out my entire pregnancy my stomach has been,, hmmm, I guess you could say squishy. That's the best word I can come up with. However, today when I woke up it is firm as a rock. Normally, if Kyler (baby) has his foot pressing against me and it hurts I can just poke it and he will move. Now I can't even poke his little foot because my finger goes no where. When I was pregnant with my first son I had to be induced at 36 weeks bc I was suffering from severe preclampsia and had no choice. He was born completely healthy (7lbs 11 oz. 21 in long) so he came home with me the next day. I have never experienced the "end of pregnancy" you could say. So is this normal? Does it mean anything? Oh ya, I went to the doctor on Tues. and found out I was about 2 cm dilated... if this means anything. Thanks in advance

Ovulation/trigger shot w/ several mature follicles..?

My husband and I have seeing a fertility dr. for about 8 months now..I am taking shots for ovulation however i normally ovulate on my own..we went in for our ultrasound yesterday morning and are scheduled for our IUI tomorrow..When they did the ultrasound they found 6 mature follicles between 15-19 in size..I administered my HCG trigger shot last night..I have been cramping off and on since before the shot last night..could my body be naturally going through ovulation on its own or is it possibly just pre ovulation cramping..I am worried that i may be ovulating before they do the iui and it wont take..we cant bd tonight because my husband has to save his for tomorrows iui..if anyone has experienced this i would like to hear your stories..thank you..

In February, my daughter had to have tubes in her ears. She only had a couple ear infections but the fluid wasn't draining from them. When you change strings don't take all the old strings off. replace the strings one at a time. The bridge is setup to handle a certain amount of tension and if you take all the strings off it throws off the balance causing your action to raise and the intonation will be off.

Is this stray cat sick or just starving?

My boyfriend and I live in a farmhouse with the nearest neighbors being about half a mile away. A few days ago, this stray cat appeared on our doorstep looking very very thin and had a hoarse meow. We've been feeding it, and lately it's been showing up with a very dirty face, like it's been drooling very profusely and then wiped it with dirt. It's cheeks appear to be slightly swollen and it's left eye has tear streaks. Like I said, we've been providing food and water for it, because it is bone thin. Before, it wouldn't let us near it, but lately it's been letting us get very close to it without showing signs of running. Does anyone think that it is exhibiting signs of disease, or is it just starving? I would like to take it to the vet and get it checked out and possibly vaccinated because we have other animals that live outside and we don't want them to get sick if it has anything. But my boyfriend thinks that it is suffering, and he said that if it doesn't seem better in a week, he's going to shoot it and end it's misery. I don't know what I should do for it other than just feed it! Help please! I hate seeing this poor animal every day and not knowing what to do for it :(

Popcorn hull inside of gums?

I got a popcorn hull rammed up INSIDE my gums (right above my right canine tooth, to be exact) days ago. I couldn't get it out. You need to take the ideas of those books but develop them in a unique way. I'm not sure if you've done it or not but I think it's definitely worth you pursuing.

Sounds kind of weird, but toothpaste works miracles. Scrub it on the most obvious areas and then exfoliate your skin with it. If the toothpaste doesn't work, try using lemon juice, that gets stuff off pretty good too. If they don't work, try scrubbing the crap out of your skin! It might hurt, but just this once probably won't kill you. If you use the toothpaste, don't leave it on too long because it can burn a little, and open a window or turn on a fan because the minty stuff will make your eyes water. But I use it to scrub fake tan off sometimes so it should have the same finish. If not, all I can suggest is wearing a headband or something, or pop your collar? Haha.

Windows Media Player Overloads Notebook HDD On Audio File Playback?

Ok so here's the deal, i have Asus Z99 notebook and whenever i start listening music on my WMP my HDD light lights up and never goes off also sometimes when i change the volume up or down my wmp also gets stuck on some track moment like old scratched audio cd on a cheap music player that the only way to stop that i have too hold my power on until my notebook turns off. Same thing hapens on winamp whenever i set the volume to max. It's weird because this only happens when i listen music through notebook speakers whenever i have my headphones or my amp plugged in this never happens. What could be the glitch that causes this? Drivers License Suspended In Ontario, But Can I Write My Beginners (G1)?

I had my license in Ontario suspended 5 years ago for an impaired charge. At the time I only had my G2 so now my license is expired and I am required to write my beginners and wait the 1 year before I can take my G2 drivers test. Currently my license is also labeled as suspended because I have yet to complete a "Back On Track" program that is mandatory for impaired driving charges and the program will take 6 months before I complete it and can have my license officially reinstated. Since getting my G1 does not require me to drive is it possible for me to get it while I am technically not allowed to drive? I am having all kinds of DLL user 32.dll error messages since downloading Microsoft patch KB925902?

On April 4, my computer automatically downloaded Microsoft patch KB925902. I stated getting error messages about DLL user 32.dll. They told me that the vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted to provide a new one. The vendor is Microsoft as I have not downloaded anything in a long time and keep antivirus and spyware cleaned out. The only way I can correc the problem is to 'delete' the patch. However, the automatic update system promptly puts it in again and the circus starts all over again. I have since deactivated the automatic download of patches. Any way I can keep that darn patch from downloading automatically?

Fat burning question?

I'm currently trying to both get in good shape and build muscle but I have some belly fat I would like to get rid of. My current weight lifting regimen is 3 days a week upper body including abs and 3 days a week lower body. This amounts to 5-6 hours of intense weightlifting a week and I have good nutrition(low fat high protein and carbs) and I can tell that I am building muscle. However, my cardio is pretty bad(I can run 1.5-2 miles before I need to quit) and I want to improve it. I know that when you run on an empty stomach your body uses your fat stores. So, my question is, when I run on an empty stomach, will my body go for my fat stores or will it go for the muscle that I am building?

How can I get over my fear of rapid heartbeat?

I suffer from panic attacks, and it's to the point where I can't do ANYTHING that causes my heart rate to go up. If it does, I will end up having a full blown panic attack because the symptoms feel similar to when I'm having an attack. I'm also afraid to eat or drink anything with sugar cause that can cause you heart rate to go up also. My main concern is how I'm afraid of rapid heartbeat. The reason I panic when my heart rate goes up due to running, lifting heavy things, or simply doing strenuous activities, is because I'm afraid of my already accelerated heart rate and the panic attack ontop of that to cause me to go into cardiac arrest or have a heart attack. I literally live my life trying not to do anything that will cause my heart rate to go up, and it's ruining me. Please help. And I don't want to take meds so there's no use in telling me to take some. And no use in telling me to work out either, cause that's the problem....could anything happen if you have a panic attack while your heart is already beating fast from doing something strenuous?

Honestly, it may never occur in my life time. However, there are people trying to change things. There is a group called Unity08, they are trying to change the way that politics are corrupted. For instance, the electoral college that pretty much kills out our actual votes in major elections. And the 2 party system, because yes, there are other parties, but they honestly don't stand a chance in a major election due to the electoral colleges. So there are people who are fighting for change, it is just going to take forever, unless more people actually start giving a crap, and become more educated. Good for you for feeding so long!!! I would stop too if they were biting though. My baby is 3 1/2 months old and I have had to stop feeding her unfortunately because she has to have soy formula. I think the hardest part is trying to find a formula that works if your baby is sensitive. With her being 9 months old though she may be more tolerant than a younger baby. I think at that age you can also start introducing other foods like mashed fruits and vegetables or baby cereals. Good Luck!

Washer shaking badly, why?

I have a Maytag top load washer. I tipped it on its side to see how to change the drain line. And since then the drum has started shaking severly. I didn't mess with anything while I had it on its side and I don't know if that is what caused it. But I thought it was just unbalanced so I adjusted the legs but it wasn't that. If it is the drum how can I get it to stop shaking.

Vomting up blood?

I recently had to go to the ER because I was vomiting up blood. The doctor said that it was a gastric ulcer. I've been taking the medication but the pain or the amount of blood that I've been vomiting up hasn't subsided. Is there something else that could be wrong? The doctors just keep telling me that it's an ulcer but it's not going away with treatment.

I am making dog cookie jars out of some old canisters to be sold at our fundraiser dinner for our animal shelter. We photographed the dogs and puppies with different back-drops and I'm using some of their photos on the jars (they're really cute). I craft quite a bit with things around the house, and usually I use an acrylic spray varnish, and then coat in verethane. These items are purely decorative however. I was thinking of making coordinating mugs/saucers but I would like for people to be able to use them, and for them to be washable. I know my items are washable with a damp rag, is there anything I could use that would allow them to be submerged in water (like a sink) or dishwasher?
